The reconstruction of the real historical battle between the Omis pirates and the Venetians takes place every year on the same date, August 18, in the city of Omiš, which is recognized as the "City of Pirates" precisely because of its rich history. The pirate battle brings to life the proud history of the town on Cetina in an attractive way.

The festival has become synonymous with the gathering of everyone who likes to listen to, create or nurture klapa music.

The festival has existed since 1967. It is divided into days of men's klapa, women's klapa, children's klapa and folk singers. He greatly contributed to the development and nurturing of the culture of a cappella folk singing, and the compositions that were performed there for the first time became part of the general culture of the Dalmatian people, and many of them are still sung today.
